“On Thursday (July 2), the social justice sector of the mogul’s Roc Nation company wrote an open letter to Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm in the XXL Magazine and Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. The letter calls for the firing and prosecution of officer Joseph Mensah from the Wauwatosa Police Department. Since joining the force five years ago, Mensah has shot and killed Alvin Cole, Antonio Gonzales and Jay Anderson during traffic stops over the course of
five years, using 19 bullets in total, Team Roc said in a statement.”
Read the entire press release on XXL Magazine here and read the actual letter to Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm from Jay-Z and Team Roc  here.
In addition, it appears the Milwaukee County D.A. and the State Attorney General’s office are dragging their feet and purposely trying to hide under the rug a criminal investigation regarding the lead-in-water poisoning of thousands of Black and Brown lives in the City of Milwaukee worse than in Flint, MI. They have been investigating for two years, but as you can read from the following email thread below, the state claims of not knowing of any investigation that has been going on for some time now. The statements by the State Department of Justice fly in the face of past statements made in the media that both the State and the Milwaukee District Attorney are conducting a criminal investigation.

FLAC Spokesperson Robert Miranda,
Our office, along with the State of Wisconsin Department of Justice, Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) have been conducting an investigation.  I’m not sure of why you got the response below.  I’ve met over the months regarding this with members of DCI who conducted interviews, reviewed reams of paperwork etc.   They have the full cooperation with the State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services.
Looks like the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing.
I’m copying ADA Benkley and DC Scott LaFleur on this email.  I’m not sure what attorney from the State was assisting with this.

Dear Mr. Johnson,
I am Deputy Unit Director in the Criminal Litigation Unit at DOJ. As you know, Rich Chiapete unfortunately left his position with the DOJ. I did reach out to him and asked about your inquiry. Here is  his response:

I never had any contact with anyone from the Milwaukee Health Dept. or from the Freshwater Life Coalition.
My only guess is it could be one of those FEMA frauds. I did meet with Cam and Randy at Dept. of Military Affairs over a year ago on an investigation they had open regarding misuse of FEMA funds. Randi Milsap is the contact at Dept of Military Affairs. After the initial meeting, we contacted them twice to let them know that we would need a referral and  to their review reports,  if they wanted anything opened. We never heard anything back.
We are unable to find any case or correspondence related to your inquiry in our data base.

Good morning,
Alex received the email below from the mainline. Have any of you heard of this case/investigation? I have no knowledge of the matter that the call is about. Can  someone either contact Rich regarding the matter or contact the caller and inquire about the matter?

Thank you –
Misty

Misty, I received the below email regarding an investigation the Rich was apparently assigned to. I don’t recognize this case. Is it OK to contact Rich to find out if he knows anything about this? Or is there someone else in our unit who can respond to this inquiry. I told Carolin Mancl that I’d look into this and get back to her.  Thanks.

Good afternoon, Alex!
It could not locate an email for Rich, is he still with DOJ? I figured I would reach out to you in hopes that this email can be directed to him, or whoever possibly took over his role in this.
I received a call on the DOJ mainline at 4:25PM with a request to speak to Rich Chiapete.
Chris Johnson from Fresh Water for Life Coalition called looking for a status update on the investigation of the city of Milwaukee Health Department. He would like to know if there are any criminal charges. He said he met with the Deputy Attorney General a few months ago, and that he has not heard any updates since then.
